MTMCA Membership & Certification Levels

 
 

  1. NON MEMBER - MTM Basic Competency Test

  2. ($25 - Unlimited access to successful exam completion)

Player or non-player who wants to learn about MTM.

Requirements: Passing Online test only.

No certificate.

 

  1. 1)MTMCA Member - MTM Apprentice

  2. ($50 annual membership plus one-time MTM Basic Competency Test $25)

Player who wants to learn to teach; minor (under 18); individual who wants to know more about the modern game; parent, school teacher with no tennis experience.

Requirements: Online test only.

Certificate will read: “(name) has successfully passed the Basic Competency Test and is a MTM Apprentice in training”.

Qualifies for continuing education courses.

 

  1. 2)MTMCA Member - MTM Tennis Teacher

  2. ($50 annual membership plus one-time MTM Basic Competency Test $25)

Individual with some playing and or teaching experience (6 months minimum incl. assisting in school, park, club or equivalent); team captain, school teacher with some on-court experience.

Requirements: Has passed the Basic Competency Test. Resume, video or on-court session with Clinician/Tester or Oscar demonstrating ability to deliver the methodology to students.

Certificate will read: “(name) is certified as a MTM Tennis Teacher”.

Qualifies as candidate to take the Clinician Course and for continuing education courses.

NOTE: Advanced MTM Tennis Teacher Certification status prepares the member for a higher level of coaching performance and may be obtained by continuing education through the MTM-U

  1. 3)MTMCA Member - MTM Tennis Teaching Professional

  2. ($50 annual membership plus one-time MTM Upper Level Competency Test $50)

Individual who has solid professional tennis teaching experience.

Requirements: Upper level exam, including essay questions. Resume and video or session with Clinician/Tester or Oscar demonstrating ability to deliver the methodology to students.

Certificate will read: “(name) is certified as a MTM Tennis Teaching Professional”.

Qualifies as candidate to take the Clinician Course and for continued education courses

NOTE: Advanced MTM Tennis Teaching Professional Certification status prepares the member for a higher level of coaching performance and may be obtained by continuing education through the MTM-U  (Fees may vary)

  

  1. 4)MTMCA Member - MTM Tennis Teaching Professional Clinician and Tester

  2. (Fee assessment per Oscar Wegner)

Requirements: has passed all the requirements of MTM Tennis Teaching Professional and contributes substantially to the development of tennis in his/her community. Has had training with Zone Director or Oscar; or by recommendation of Zone Director or Oscar.

Has successfully completed the Clinician Course.

Certificate will read: “(name) is Certified as a MTM Tennis Teaching Professional and Tester”

NOTE: Advanced MTM Clinician and Tester (High Performance) Certification status prepares the member for a higher level of coaching performance and may be obtained by continuing education through the MTM-U

  1. 5)MTM Master Tennis Teaching Professional

  2. (Fee assessment per Oscar Wegner)

Tennis teaching professionals who have contributed markedly in elevating tennis to a primary position of popularity and prominence among all sports in their country or internationally, and have demonstrated full completion and proficiency of all the prior levels.

This level is to be granted by MTM Founder, Oscar Wegner in consultation with Zone Directors.

 

  1. Honorary Membership

  2. (No annual fee)

Tennis Industry leaders or playing professionals.

 

  1. MTM Industry Associate

  2. ($50 annually)

Industry individual who wants to stay abreast of the latest news and technology in Modern Tennis Methodology.
